GRAPHIC DESIGN AT LEIPZIG FAIR

The long tradition of Leipzig as a place of trade fairs goes back into 1165, but the first development of graphic designs according to the fair started in the 20th century. The most famous is the so called "Double-M", invented in 1917.
The exhibition in the Museum of the Printing Arts shows a selection of several Leipzig Trade Fair Designs because of the 850th anniversary. Additionally graphic designs of companies are shown, that appeared on trade fairs.
The exhibition is developed and curated by Karen Laube and Philipp Neuman, owners of the book shop "MZIN". They publish a catalogue too.
