10th Night of Museums

This year's Night of Museums is a cooperation of Halle and Leipzig. It will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.

The Museum of the Printing Arts will take part with a diversified scheme. Visitors can dive into 600 years of printing history. Besides that one of the last wood engravers will demonstrate his skills live on the first floor in the workshop for wood engraving.  Do it yourself is also a part of the scheme - visitors can use one of the Boston Platen Presses on the 3rd floor an print postcards themselves.
In the printing office on the ground floor a Symphony of light and sound will start every hour from 6.30 p.m. until 0:30 a.m.

Tickets are available in the museum and will be 8 € for adults (reduced 6 €) and 4 € for owners of the Leipzig Card or the Halle Card.
The tickets are valid for all public transport in Leipzig and Halle and the transport between both cities.
